The 13th Plugfest will further CCC Digital Key™ interoperability testing, with a focus on completing the validation of the Digital Key Version 4 test cases, including any remaining OEM test cases. In addition, we will start testing any newly added Digital Key Version 4 test cases, getting ready to turn the next page in CCC Digital Key™ Certification.
We invite vehicle and end-user device manufacturers to bring their CCC Digital Key™ implementations. We are looking for Digital Key version 3 and version 4 implementations. In the scheduled test session, these devices will be tested against each other. This will enable first testing of version 4 implementations against other version 4, as well as other version 3 implementations. Results from the test sessions will help identify possible version 4 candidate IDL devices. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to be considered as an IDL device for Digital Key Version 4.
We invite Bluetooth test equipment vendors to participate with their Bluetooth sniffing solutions. We are planning dedicated full-day test sessions with selected vehicle and end-user device implementations to complete validation of any remaining test cases, and any remaining issues with the participating Bluetooth test equipment.
We invite UWB test equipment vendors to demonstrate how such test tools will benefit our members and the CCC. Participating members will be able to discuss and see how these tools can support product development and may support future certification testing. We will either schedule dedicated test sessions for these test tools, or they will be invited to join regular test sessions.
We invite a limited number of authorized End-to-End Interoperability laboratories to participate in the plugfest to help with conducting tests for the published test cases (Part 1 – 5). We are asking laboratories to bring their IDL End-User Devices and the Comprion test tool.
CCC End-to-End Interoperability Plugfests allow attendees to test their CCC Digital Key™ implementations against other member companies’ implementations to discover and investigate any possible problems. Identified issues will improve or correct technical specifications, test suites and test tools. Plugfests also greatly help participants to validate and to mature their own implementations and to troubleshoot any issues identified during these test sessions.
Test sessions will happen in parallel. Participants bringing a vehicle implementation will have an assigned meeting space. Participants are expected to attend and actively engage in the full five-day event to ensure fairness and provide all attendees with the opportunity to collaborate and test with other member companies. Note that some requirements exist to successfully participate, e.g., cross-signing between vehicle and device OEM. Device vendors are encouraged to bring a second device implementation, allowing parallel testing with different vehicle platforms. Only one IUT type will be permitted for this Plugfest.
Facility Details:
Each testing room will have 2 tables, 4 chairs, a monitor and several power outlets. Free WiFi is available at the facility. Should you require additional supplies, extension cords or hotspots, please plan to bring them with you. Vehicle testing is uncovered outdoor. There is no external power and the City of Cupertino has strict limitations on the use of generators to be used in parking lots. Participants may bring small battery packs and will have to be prepared to test within these limitations. There is no EV Charging on-site. Shared testing rooms will have visual privacy. Space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.
Thank you to our host, Apple!
